FAQ
Tattoos can take between 10-14 days on average to appear healed and up to 3 months to settle into the skin, as thats how long it takes for new skin cells to regenerate. During these 14 days it is advised not to soak your tattoo in water for an excessive time, or pick/scratch your tattoo. By doing this, your new tattoo will avoid needing future touch ups. Tattoos heal as well as you look after them.
Preparing for a tattoo is a lot easier than you think. We recommend you have a big meal before your appointment as you'll need all the energy you can get and remember to stay hydrated. If you're feeling light headed, sugar is your best friend. A sugary soft drink or sweets like chocolate bars are recommended in moments like these. Alcohol and blood thinning drugs like pain killers are NOT recommend before a tattoo, as they thin your blood and can potentially push ink out, affecting the end result of your new tattoo.
A new tattoo can cause some anxiety, so remember to relax and stay calm, as you're in good hands. And remember not to stress, it's only a tattoo!
